How to fix ‘Device Administrator is Disabled. Contact Your Admin’ error on Microsoft Teams Room on Android

Issue:

When you are trying to login to Microsoft Teams Room on Android with the code displayed on the touch console in your laptop/pc, the login fails with the error shown in the image below–

Reason:

It was stated in Microsoft Learn that the admin must enroll Android-based devices utilized by Teams into Microsoft Intune using the Android Device Administrator (DA) approach.

Resolution:

1. Login to Microsoft Intune Admin Center and click on Devices > Enrollment > Android.

2. Click on ‘Personal and corporate-owned devices with device administrator privileges’

3. Check the box that says ‘Use device administrator to manage devices. By enabling this feature, you grant Microsoft permission to send both user and device information to Google. Learn more. And click on ‘OK’.

4. Try to authenticate the Microsoft Teams Room on Android again and it should work now.
